My Journey ENDS here. I’m RETURING home.

I am terribly sorry for announcing it this way, without looking into nobody’s eyes.
Without giving enough explanations or saying that I am sorry…
Without sharing with the most affectioned followers, my delusion and that sadness that makes me cry.

I am 26, but waking up so suddenly from a dream of a life time, makes all this so hard to assimilate.

Because the truth is, I didn’t wanna wake up yet from this dream of mine…

A dream lasted for 5 years, over 200000 km and 1587 days of Adventure.

A dream ruined by a stupid bike accident.

My Journey ENDS HERE! I’m returning home…

I will make things clearer on Saturday 20th, giving a little speach at the Motorcycle Adventure Meeting in Serra de Conti.

For those who won’t be able to make it there, I will make sure to post something next week.

Apologies.

    John,
I am so completely devastasted for you, You are a warrior and a survivor. A truly amazing person and I’m so sorry you didn’t get to complete your journey. I hope you won’t dwell on it too much and instead will remember how far you’ve come, emotionally and mentally as well as geographically, and how many lives you have touched.
    Big hugs,
    Rochelle

    HI Gionata!
Let me tell you that, if 10% of all motoriders in whole world have your spirit, man… everything wold be so great!! 🙂
You had such an experience that no one who is sending all those coments probably will have in a lifetime!
So, the journey does not end here! This was the first step of a big staircase! With another Transalp or even another moto, i’m pretty sure that one day you’ll come to Portugal, or me to Italy! And when that will happens, I will be all ears to ear all your stories!
In Portugal, you have Forum Transalp, that I know that you are already a member! Be welcome!

    Hello, Gionata!

I can see things have turned out the way you didn’t expected. Well, I certainly do know how you feel! But life does that to remind you one thing, you know: You are a warrior, you are a dreamer, you are believer and you are a man! It’s not failure that makes you human, but the ability to go further, to overcome it, to take the impossible out of it.
Man, I don’t know exactly what you will make out of this, but as I see you – you’ll make something GREAT and OUTSTANDING!
Ah, by the way, take into consideration that you might have done so much and achieved so much – so now you need a different, higher level in what you do… that’s called EVOLUTION. You just evolve to someone new, you don’t need to get the meaning of it -you may be already someone new, better, improved man.
I wish you the best there is and GOOD LUCK in your other journeys – because they seem to be many more!

    Andrei (Romania)
