DETAILS: My WORKING HOLIDAY experience in Australia starts a bit earlier than 2007, right after my arrive to Sydney by hitch hike from Brisbane. I have with me my last 200 Euro. I find a job in a restaurant pub as a floor coordinator and I rent a room near by the center for 100 AUD a week. I have no days off, but I dedicate myself to hosting my guests from CouchSurfing.com. I welcome averagely 3-5 CS a day. Their company fullfill my life of other people’s travels and stories.
I ride the bike everyday to work and when the season gets colder, I decide to move up to Brisbane, seeking for a better weather. I rent a room there, for 100 AUD a week, all included!
I keep working as a waiter, but I soon feel demotivated and I switch to child care. The company that employ me is called Select Education.
Months pass fast with work, girlfriends (
) and the general maintenace of the bike, which i pay 350 AUD for, at Team Moto Yamaha in Moorooka, Brisbane. They really gave me a great deal!
I also invest 700 of my saved AUD to buy new camping gear…
The preparation for the Oceania Tour doesn’t take much else than that. I just write some mails to shipping companies, in order to prepare myself to ship the bike to New Zealand at the end of this trip and I also receive my CARNET DE PASSAGE AU DUANE from Italy, sent from my father.
So when the bike is ready and i have resigned from work, I am ready to leave for this tour. Just few day before my 24th birthday!

DETAILS: A new tour, after almost one year. I leave with 2700 AUD from Brisbane, with a bike with a fuel consuption problem (why?) in order to discover Australia. North Queensland is just amazing. I love its deserts, crocodiles and river crossing!

DETAILS: After visiting Uluru in NT, I get to Darwin with no more money. I stop for 22 days of hard working as labourer. I leave to continue my tour with 3000 AUD and I enter the great WA land!

DETAILS: I stop in Adelaide, waiting for Honda MPE Australia managers to welcome me in Melboune, once crossed VICTORIA. They offer me a free maintenace and a curtesy bike (VFR800) to ride Tasmania with! Time to ship to NZ now.

DETAILS: I leave Australia after shipping the bike to Auckland. I get to Christchurch with no money and so I ask my family to lend me some (2000 euro). Once the bike is in, I leave for the Pacific Tour. New Zealand is just another piece of paradise!
